Secondment

Liverpool Sound City+ (LSC+) is an annual music festival and industry conference established in 2008 as a hub for the discussion and promotion of the music industry’s cutting-edge issues and artists.

I was assigned the role of a conference assistant and a festival helper under the auspices of Jo Whitty (Sound City Chief Operating Officer) and Holly Jones (Sound City B2B & Education Event Manager), Liverpool, 17.04. – 30.04.2023.

  • Administrative tasks: Entering information into the LSC conference webpages; cross-referencing the program information across different LSC+ media (website, app, Excel sheets, the stage manager’s program); creating the title pages for the conference speakers/sessions in PowerPoint

  • Organizational tasks: Arranging the catering service for the festival’s opening night; securing a donation (SafeSips products) for the festival’s anti-spiking campaign

  • Onsite support: Setting up the aperitif tables, serving drinks, and cleaning up afterwards on the opening night at British Music Experience Museum (Thursday, 27.04.2023); setting up the registration desk for LSC+ conference participants and tying the LSC+ bracelets on their hands; stewarding LSC visitors and participants across the music festival site; monitoring the workflow of LSC accredited photographers in the designated area in front of the stage
